Yes this is me at 16... |
Jesus saved me when I was 16. I grew up in the church but thought that the Bible was an incoherent mess of stories. While I wasn't antagonistic to the Christian faith, I hid my doubts since I didn't want to make anyone mad. My grandparents were Gideon's and were faithful to share Jesus with me when I was working on their farm. While cultivating a field and listening to Ravi Zacharias defend the gospel, God gave me the push I needed to consider the truth of the gospel. I gave my life to Jesus shortly thereafter.
I'm a husband
You may be wondering, who is the beautiful lady in the picture to the right that Jordan somehow got to pose next to him? I'm married to her! Yes, I give hope to the ugly fellas out there. You may think, "I'm ugly as a dog, I'll never get a beautiful girl." I'm living proof that doesn't have to be true. She loves Jesus, is a counselor, is from Chicago, and is an incredible blessing to me.
I'm a pastor
I get to teach high-school students about Jesus at First Evangelical Church in Wichita, Kansas. I'm blessed to get paid for what I do. I want to see Gospel-saturated and Spirit-filled high-school students empowered to share Jesus and serve others.
I'm a reader
I love books. They can teach, inspire, correct, give wisdom, and if you are stuck in the wilderness they can help you build a fire and keep warm.
You should buy all the books on my Amazon wish list for me!
In front of the old Wichita train station |
I was born in Wichita and raised in the suburb of Derby. I want to see this city changed by Jesus!
